Template Mail stores your templates locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your device, Apple automatically syncs that data via iCloud/CloudKit so it’s available across your devices. Template Mail does not sell your data or use it for advertising. Optional features like Contacts access, attachments, and sharing are used only when you choose to enable them.
Template Mail stores the following on your device:
Templates you create (title, subject, body)
Tags you create and assign
Recipients you add to templates (email addresses and optional names)
Reminder settings you enable
Attachments you add to templates (file references and metadata)
Template Mail does not operate its own servers. Any cloud sync is handled by Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit when enabled on your device.
If iCloud is enabled on your device, Apple may sync Template Mail data automatically across your devices using CloudKit/SwiftData. If iCloud is not enabled, your data stays only on your device.
Contacts access is optional. If you enable it, Template Mail can read your contacts to help you pick recipients. Contact data is not uploaded by Template Mail and is only used on-device for selection.
When you add an attachment, the app stores a secure reference to the file. Small files may be copied into the app’s iCloud Drive folder if syncing is enabled. Large files may remain device‑specific unless you enable “Always Sync Attachments.”
If you share a template, Template Mail exports it as a .templatemail file (JSON) so it can be sent via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or Files. Recipients you share with will receive the template data you included.
Template Mail does not use third‑party analytics, trackers, or advertising SDKs.
You can delete templates individually or use “Delete All Data” in Settings. This removes your data from your device and, if synced, from iCloud. Deleting the app does not delete your iCloud data. Your iCloud data is removed only if you choose to delete it in Settings.
Template Mail relies on Apple’s platform security features (App Sandbox, iCloud, and system permissions). You are responsible for device‑level security such as passcode and iCloud account protection.
